Organising Drive

Today we looked at organising folders in Drive.

To organise find the drop down menu beside the folder you want to edit.
Here you can:

  • Change the colour of the icon
  • Share whole folder with other people
  • Move folder somewhere else (move to)
  • Rename folders
  • Remove (delete folder)

Backing up computer files to Google Drive - Mac Only at this stage
Download Google Drive - you can also access your documents when you are not online.  You can work on these and when you come back online, the document will synch.

To sync files from your mac to google drive - install MacDropAny.
Follow the set-up instructions and sync the files you want to have in your google drive.  This will automatically sync any new files to your google drive.
Make sure you download Google Drive to your desktop before you set-up Mac Drop Any.
Note: You get 30GB of storage space in Google Drive.
